Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the independent provider that operates the results function. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we receive the content you choose to send and use it to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting services create routine logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand general page traffic. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, resolve technical issues, measure overall traffic, and improve the material. We do not sell lists of visitors or build individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links lead to Wake County and North Carolina record portals, libraries, archives, and independent search services. A linked operator's policy controls information submitted after leaving this service. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Data Recipients
Providers that host and support the service process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not share it.
Safeguards
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no user accounts, this service does not maintain visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. If you believe a minor sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data this service holds about you. Because the service retains little direct information, we generally check the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then remove applicable material. Use the Contact page to make a request. North Carolina's Session Law 2025-79 protects certain nonprofit relationship information held by public agencies, but the research found no comprehensive state consumer-privacy statute that removes every public-record entry. Records held by Fuquay-Varina, Wake County, or North Carolina offices remain under their custodian's rules; send a correction or restriction request to that office.
Policy Updates
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continuing to use the service after a posted change means acceptance of the revised policy.
